LA HOULE

noise pop

Promise of the new independent French pop scene, La Houle auscultates noise and electronic sounds, while cultivating a certain cold and disconcerting poetry.
After an exile across the Channel where the band scoured London clubs, La Houle released a first EP in March 2017. Spotted by the Francophile trailblazer non-label La Souterraine, the band released an 8-track compilation in January 2018, the backbone of the first record, “Première Vague” released by Beko Disques (CD) and Croque Macadam/Requiem Pour Un Twister (Vinyl).
In July 2020, La Houle returns with a spontaneous concept album, between ambient/electronica/kraut, entitled “Dehors au Dedans” in homage to his painter grandfather and released by Onto Record. In 2021, the group will release its new album, to be released in the fall on October Tone and Music from the Masses/ PIAS France, leaving behind “these memories, vague and distant, that are stretching out.”
